Ready for Departure

Welcome to our new blog! Thanks for taking a prayer card to remember us by. Thank you for praying. Your prayers are very precious to us. Taking time out of your schedule and all the important things you have to get done to pray is greatly appreciated.

January 6th at 8:41pm I will be taking off from Boise, Idaho to Papua New Guinea. Tammy and the kids will be staying in Idaho while I establish my new job at Hevilift and prepare for their arrival in early spring. I will be flying Boise to Los Angles,  into the future as I cross the international date line, to Brisbane Australia, then Cairns ( pronounced Cans) Australia to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. I will sleep one night then arrive January 9th in Mt. Hagen.  (PNG time is 16 hrs ahead of mountain time. So that would be 12:15am January 9th Idaho time.) I will be getting started straight away in training. Every helicopter company does training to new employees even though I have hundreds of hours in the same type of helicopter. This will take around ten days. Along with starting on the improvements of the house my family will be moving into, I will continue my preparation for teaching at Brad's Bible College starting in February.  It is a real honor that the Lord has aloud for us to go and to serve in PNG.  I look forward to see how He will work in our lives and the people He allows us to minister to. I encourage you to stay up with us and write often.  Tammy and I are interested in what is going on in your life.  So don't be a stranger! -Wes
